studio Fabian lorenz was founded in 2021 by fabian, who had been practicing architecture for a decade at firms including Skidmore, owings & merrill and Bjarke Ingles group, before embarking on his own architecture enterprise.

fabian holds an msc in architecture from the university of technology vienna (austria), is a registered architect in new york state (ra, aia), an internationally certified passive house designer (CPHD), and currently a visiting professor at the pratt institute in brooklyn.

in our practice we study how changing social demands pair with future technological capabilities - how progressing technologies can help tackling challenges of ecosystems and habitats, transportation, and infrastructure.

we envision and design new typologies for a more sustainable and equitable built environment.
