wnyc transmitter park

situated in the WNYC transmitter park of greenpoint, brooklyn, is a wooden platform covering a small overflow inlet along the shore side of the park.

the idea was born during the covid-19 pandemic, when local protagonists started utilizing the space to gift musical experiences as an expression of solidarity to our affected community, who gathered on the stone blocks flanking the inlet.

the proposed wood deck would enhance the spirit of the location and create the opportunity to support the members of our community with an intimate place to showcase performance and facilitate gathering.
